Distinguished Spanish conductor Juanjo Mena debuts with a charming Spanish evening. MILOŠ, the charismatic master of the guitar, takes the spotlight in this programme of Spanish-themed music when he plays Rodrigo’s iconic Concierto de Aranjuez. Falla’s music for the ballet The Three-Cornered Hat uses Spanish idioms that his fellow composers Debussy and Ravel also emulated as a source of animated musical energy.
